We are excited to announce the release of TEAMS-Designer 13.2.2! This latest update introduces new features to enhance your modeling capabilities, expand diagnostic functionality, and brings a suite of stability improvements based on customer feedback.

What’s New in TEAMS-Designer 13.2.2

New Features & Enhancements:

Dockable Panes In an effort to improve accessibility in TEAMS-Designer, some windows have been converted into dockable-panes. A preview of this effort can be seen with the Model Tree (found under Tools). These panes can be docked/undocked wherever the user chooses! More to come in the next release.

Function Groups can now be created from the Effect functions tab in Effect and Module Properties.

Pass Outcomes can now be explicitly chosen for Direct Tests.

  • PDTEAMS-1742 Damage Assessment Tab appears when not relevant.
  • SR1575-996 Proportions of the Test Properties Dialogs are off-center and lead to difficulty on small screens.
  • SR1561-599 Proportions of the Module Properties Dialogs are off-center and lead to difficulty on small screens.
  • SR1585-59 Function groups are displayed incorrectly in the Edit Functions Dialog.
  • SR1585-73 Cannot generate Model Hierarchy Report using TMSX models.
  • PDTEAMS-1685 After analysis, Smart Switch Icons do not reset.
  • SR1563-1083 TEAMS-Designer crashes on export of certain TMSX models.
  • SR1563-1017 Setup Times should contribute to Test Time.

TEAMS-RDS 13.2.1 Released

TEAMS, TEAMS-RDS

QSI is excited to announce significant improvements to TEAMS-RDS® with the latest release! Two powerful, licensed modules – IOT-Sim and TEAMS-Designer® Model Management – are now fully available to help organizations enhance diagnostics, streamline, workflows, and improve model security.

IOT Sim – Simulate and Validate your TEAMS Model, Right from the Browser

The new IOT-Sim module empowers users to exercise their TEAMS Models in a controlled, browser-based environment. IOT-Sim allows you to:

  • Inject simulated faults
  • Toggle system modes
  • Apply test results
  • Create complex diagnostic scenarios

This interactive tool helps teams validate model behavior and troubleshoot scenarios before deployment – with needing physical hardware or desktop installations. IOT-Sim builds upon the foundation of previous simulation tools, replacing desktop-based solutions like Sensor Agent with a modern, web-accessible experience.

Seamless integration with TEAMS-RDS®:

  • Simulated scenarios appear directly on the familiar System Health Status page, just like live TEAMS-RT® sessions.
  • Users can launch full TEAMS-RDS Troubleshooting Sessions based on simulated results, making it easy to assess model performance and system response.

Works Hand-in-Hand with Other Licensed Feature:

  • Impact Assessment: IOT-Sim can automatically generate TEAMS Fault Trees and Loss of Function reports based on simulated conditions, providing deep insight into system vulnerabilities.
  • Damage Assessment: Licensed users can extend simulations to include damage modeling. (See our TEAMS-Designer release post for more details on Damage Assessment capabilities.)

Together, these integrations make IOT-Sim a powerful tool for validating diagnostics, training personnel, and refining your TEAMS Models – all through a secure, browser-based interface.

TEAMS-Designer Model Management – Secure, Flexible Model Deployment

Organizations with elevated security requirements can now manage TEAMS Models more efficiently using the TEAMS-Designer® Model Management module. Instead of relying on ODBC connections between TEAMS-Designer® and TEAMS-RDS®, users can now:

  • Directly upload TEAMS-Designer® XML Models (TMSX) to TEAMS-RDS®
  • Generate runtime files required by TEAMS-RDS® and TEAMATE®
  • Download and securely manage models for version control or audit requirements

This feature is especially valuable for industries with strict security protocols or network segmentation, allowing users to maintain model control while reducing potential vulnerabilities.

Interested in Licensing?

Both IOT-Sim and Model Management are licensed add-ons for TEAMS-RDS®. To learn more or request a demonstration, please contact QSI.

Thank you for being part of the TEAMS community- more exciting updates are coming soon!

13.2.0 comes with enhancements and bug fixes!

Features

  • Improved TMSX Performance Import and Export time of the TMSX model format improved.
