We are excited to announce the release of TEAMS-Designer 13.2.1! This latest update introduces new features to enhance your modeling capabilities, expand diagnostic functionality, and brings a suite of stability improvements based on customer feedback.

What’s New in TEAMS-Designer 13.2.1

New Features & Enahancements:

  • Damage Assessment Now Available
Licensed users can now take advantage of Damage Assessment, available as an extension to TEAMS’ DFT functionality. If licensed, simply navigate to Tools->Options to enable this feature.
  • Expanded Damage Modeling Support
The Function Editor and Module Properties now include advanced damage modeling options, such as:
    • Damage Type Functions
    • Module Damage Functions
    • Module Damage Types
    • Damage Containment
    • Proximity Zones
    • … and more!
  • Short And-Nodes Individually in DFT
Users can now short individual And-Nodes DFT, including smart-switches configured as And-Nodes, providing finer control during simulations.
  • Undo (Ctrl-Z) in Designer Text Areas
Improved editing experience with support for undo operations across text areas.
  • Searchable Fault Trees
You can now quickly search TEAMS Fault Trees, including Modules, And-Nodes, Effects, and more—making navigation and troubleshooting faster than ever.
  • Enhanced DFT Status Dialog
The new DFT Status Dialog introduces new tabs for:
    • Propagating Functions
    • Individual Switch Positions & Modes
    • Shorted And-Nodes / Smart Switches
    • Damage Assessment (for licensed users)
  • Edit Test Procedures & Module Repair Notes Directly from Diagnostic Tree View
No more switching contexts—quickly update key documentation directly within the Diagnostic Tree View.
  • Character Count Added to Text Areas
Text fields with length limits (e.g., Module Properties, Test Properties, Batch Editors) now display real-time character counts to help ensure compliance with model constraints.

Bug Fixes

We’ve addressed several key issues to improve the overall stability and reliability of TEAMS-Designer:
• Fixed: Unable to use “Return” key in Batch Module Editor (Tech Data, Repair/Replace)
• Fixed: Models repeatedly prompting for upgrade after conversion
• Fixed: Crash when selecting certain Modules in DFT
• Fixed: Crash during Function Propagation Report generation
• Fixed: Installer upgrade reliability issues
• Fixed: Incorrect DFT behavior with And Nodes
• Fixed: Unable to change default port on switches
• Fixed: Parentheses handling in FMEA HTML filtering
• Fixed: Batch Response Editor mishandling response functions
• Fixed: Incorrect behavior in models with Direct Tests
• Fixed: FMEA reports now respect manually entered IDs regardless of Isolation labels
• Fixed: Initial Symptom options now use proper radio button controls
• Fixed: Brief Description field showing invalid text for new modules after reopening
• Fixed: Batch Module Editor text fields ignoring character limits
• Fixed: Intermittent MariaDB errors during Export to RDS
• Fixed: Tech Data fields overwritten when previewing Batch Test Editor in browser
• Fixed: Analysis Options dialog not saving during RDS export
• Fixed: Crash when deleting Direct Tests and adding Test Points with the same name
• Fixed: Heap corruption when running Serviceability Analysis followed by DFT
• Fixed: Tech Data fields not saving in Batch Module Editor
• Fixed: Screen dumps incomplete for components
• Fixed: Serviceability Analysis crashes in certain models
