TEAMS-RT provides diagnostics in real-time

TEAMS-RT is a fast and compact reasoner running on a vehicle's (or other system's) on-board computer, providing.real-time diagnostics and system health monitoring. It uses a subset of the TEAMS model of the vehicle or machine, and processes the results of on-board, built-in tests to perform diagnostics. TEAMS-RT is ideally suited to IVHM (Integrated Vehicle Health Management) applications.

Traditional embedded diagnostics have the diagnostic logic hard-coded in the software. TEAMS-RT uses a table or matrix containing relationships between on-board tests and the equipment failures. It can use all test results (positive and negative) to isolate the root cause. It is impractical to "hard-code" all possible combinations of positive and negative test results — the number grows exponentially with the number of inputs. TEAMS-RT solves this problem, amplifies the diagnostic performance, and presents a tabular (matrix) solution that is easy to validate and maintain.

A very efficient way to represent and use the TEAMS model, TEAMS-RT can be easily installed on the onboard computer of a vehicle or other machine. Features unique to TEAMS-RT include
  • efficient real-time processing of sensor results, which may have false alarms and missed detections
  • update of fault-test point dependencies in response to system mode changes
  • update dependencies resulting from failures in redundant components

Fast and smart

TEAMS-RT embeds the knowledge and expertise of your top design and diagnostic experts. It can help you answer difficult, multi-symptom/multi-fault problems in real-time.

And it answers immediately. TEAMS-RT takes only 0.1 seconds to process 1000 sensor results and diagnose multiple faults in a 1000-component system with 80 modes of operation. TEAMS-RT may be embedded in on-board computers to continuously monitor the health of the system, and identify any operational failures.
